My colleagues Ben Chau-Chiu and Megan Mateosky and I are producing the play Two Sister's and a Piano by Nilo Cruz as the group Teatro de las Tias.
We are excited to share this story with the Bay Area and have received Theater Bay Area Ca$h grant to help make it happen.
To start, we held free/donation-based staged readings in the studio space of Oakland Theater Project (which you can catch snippets of in our trailer, see below!).
Now we are preparing for a full production August 15th-31st at the Southside Theater! We run Friday-Sunday with Cuban dance/music events before Saturday performances.
